I have a simple wish. I want my year to show every day with one of the following each of which would have a separate color: home, condo, boat, guests at home, guests at condo, or guests on boat. I want to look at two blocks at a time, but if that would not be possible I would just make it a single block and if guests were with us I would break the block. For example, nice to see "boat" block and "Smiths on boat" below it as a separate block, but I could divide it to "boat" "smiths on oat" "boat". Every single day of the year would be either "home", "condo" or "boat", and if we had guests there would be a separate block below in another color. Probably the same but darker. For example, the "boat" block would be blue and the "guests on boat" would be dark blue. Right now I can't even get events to simply come one after another. I tried to divide "condo" into two pieces separated by a "guests at condo" and the Year Glance simply would not do it even though the calendars for both were on my list of calendars to import. HELP PLEASE OR THIS APP IS NOT REALLY GOING TO SERVE MY PURPOSE.
While I'm here, one more thing. If I said I was on vacation Monday through Friday, the calendar would "look like" I was back late Friday, certainly not including Friday. The space between two days does not have to be big. It can just be a small thing.

Hi Grant,
Thanks for your message. Without seeing your current calendar setup, there is a way of doing this with Year Glance, but may require some restructuring of your current Google/Microsoft calendars.
We have a feature to show calendars with a background cell color, instead of showing the event details. This is typically used for things like vacation and public holidays, and would suit well for your home/condo/boat calendars.
Eg. set up 3 calendars, one for each, and represented with a different color.
Then in Year Glance, enable those calendars, select the 3 dots next to each and then check the Background box. At a glance, you instantly can see boat/home/condo by color
Then set up 3 separate calendars, with darker corresponding colors, one each for guests at home, guests at condo, guests on boat. Add multi-day events for each guest and give it a title (eg. Smiths on boat). Enable those calendars as usual and they will overlay the events on the background of your location eg. boat/home/condo.

Evan Englezos It's going to work, but I need to get used to it. I have one problem with the colors. Even if I pick a light green for something it does not always show up as the "same" color. It might be several shades darker, or lighter. Not the same as my "guest at" color, but confusingly close. Also, some titles show up with their own color "block" within the background color, and some don't, just with the title showing within the background color. I kinda like the "their own block within the background color" thing. Also, some titles simply don't show up at the start date for the event. They seem to show up later, when there is a "month" break. Kind of confusing. I'll eventually get it. But in neither case do they USUALLY show up as the two blocks, one on top of one another, that I was expecting. Again, I repeat, the "darker" block within the background color is the way I like it best. I'm not very good at this stuff. I missed the computer generation by only about 10 years way back in the early 70's. Oh, well.
